A caricature of myself mid culture shock. Conscious of looking poor and skinting myself out to prevent this. 

 

'Liquid Portrait' (2019) is an exaggeration of this idea from my then bitter view. The subject is trying to be perceived as beyond the working class. Using performance, film and photography, I created melting portraits to consider an idea around my identity. Curating myself to appear seperate to my own class would not lead to anything but a jaded view on myself and my roots. ​
