Shredded

Photographs taken of my hair, lips, eyes, skin, ears, teeth and spiders, spliced together and liquified.
I consider these works very experimental in both their process and aesthetic. Besides the familiar visceral nature, 'Shredded' (2024) steps away from saturated colours and into more humanly tones.

There felt a type of aggressiveness in completing these ~portraits~ despite the soft handedness in making. I would stretch my features physically before taking a photo, then stretch them again digitally.

Stretched ripped exhausted decayed,
'Shredded' acted as therapeutic labour during my aesthetics' identity crisis.
