'Ove' (2023) was a successful transformation in turning pain into art - that old chestnut! I had been swindled, was very sad, needed an outlet and bought one steak, two apples and got to work.

 

The materials used had some significance in their differing appearances. The custard apple almost appeared deformed with it's odd contours stained brown. The other was a stainless glossy green in the quintessential apple fruit shape.

I wanted each scene to represent a perspective of the relationship. As an illusion, as a paranoid thought, a realisation and a breath of fresh air. The sound piece created for 'Ove' intends to act as the dramatic structure to this story.
