'Love it, depend on it, but where is your flesh?'

Symmetrical and saturated, glitching and flowing. What are the consequences of the digital self? 'Your Self' (2022) considers the separation of identity through social media.
We as consumers have free reign when it comes to depicting ourselves virtually. We can charade happiness and be selective on what we share. We can undergo a digital face lift for free. We can replicate what the algorithm shows us, after a brief panic of wondering why we don't look that way or live a life like them.

As we formulate the perfect digital version of ourselves, we each use a similar template without realising.
Am I achieving enough? Do I see my friends enough? Am I good looking? Everyone else seems to be, so I need to make it look like I can be too.

As we formulate the perfect version of ourselves, we begin to exist only for the fleeting approval of others. Our individuality is only felt within our inadequacy, why am I not like everyone else I see on my phone?

As we live this cycle of influence, our authentic self is taunted by an obsession of the other Self.
