Untitled babe

'Untitled babe' still
Moving image with sound, August 2021
Presented at Thoresby Street for End of Year Showcase 2021.
Pulsing visuals and a bass-y audio, 'Untitled babe' (2021) is the rolling credits to my time at University.

I presented this as my other final piece at our public Degree Show to celebrate the superficial elements of my work: various fruits and electronic beats. Pomegranate seeds, orange peel, rotten apples and sliced grapes throbbing against a glass surface, synchronized with a subtle drum beat and ghostly choir.

As an installation, an 11" monitor floating beneath a web of cables. Transcending my work into 3 - dimensional is a luxury I had whilst studying, and usually with the aim to create a cinematic effect. I repeated this method for 'Untitled babe' to once again pay homage to my artwork.

'Untitled babe' is an artwork I had no predetermined concept for. And although I love the sound piece I created, I do not view the work in much high regard because of it lacking intention.
